Bring and Share Supper with the Spanish Marchers

A group of 9 brave rebels from Zaragoza, Spain are marching the length of Britain to arrive in Glasgow for COP26. An average of 20 miles a day for 29 days. As one has put it: “We believe it’s our duty to make this small symbolic sacrifice if it can help raise awareness about all that is at stake in Glasgow. It is our future that is on the line.”
The marchers will arrive in Oxford in the evening on Wednesday 6 September: we will have a bring-and-share welcome meal for them at the St Margaret’s Institute on Polstead Road – please book a ticket via Eventbrite.
The next morning they will set off from Summertown outside the Co-op at around 9AM. Please join us for a rousing send-off with speeches, samba, banners and song. Anyone who would like to accompany them for part of their onward journey to Banbury is very welcome!
