Finding the love at the wild edge of sorrow

Immerse yourself in a safe space to open to personal, ancestral and planetary grief and to connect with the abundance of love within ourselves, with each other, with Mother Earth and great spirit.

Our day will hold us with transformative breathwork, shamanic journeying, guided meditation, deep rest, direct honouring of the earth in my beautiful garden and movement to integrate our work. We will create a constellation to gain insight and direction with a group question or challenge Expect to feel more connected to all that is, to find some joy and peace within the sorrow of our shifting times, and to know that when we heal ourselves we heal everything.

It’s time to open our wings and fly.

Simple vegan lunch provided but please bring fruit or snacks and a water bottle, 1 or 2 blankets, yoga mat if you have one and a personal item from childhood (or an item of personal power). Also comfortable clothing and warm/waterproof clothing for some time outside. Donations welcome but not expected.

Numbers limited – please book via Eventbrite to ensure a place.

Expanding Horizons – A regenerative evening

A regenerative evening for Oxford Rebels.

In the spirit of deep collaboration Oxford rebels are warmly invited to a regenerative evening. There is the opportunity to settle and connect and share some of the feelings and impressions that are no doubt still present after the October rebellion.

It is an occasion for inclusion, where the art of listening to each other is prioritized with an orientation which is kind and accepting. Out of collaboration arises insight and hopefully from evenings like this, in the welcome company of fellow rebels there is the development of a natural sense of what is needed.

Please bring your own water/tea.

Coming down to Earth

A free restorative evening is being offered to Oxford Rebels to help ground body and mind. Using methods derived from restorative yoga, this type of self-care invites a sense of ease and quietude, encouraging a letting go that settles us kindly into deep peacefulness.

The practice requires no previous experience, only a willingness to be at ease in the good company of fellow rebels.

Please direct any queries to derekelliott@icloud.com.

Eco-Listening Space

The Eco-Listening Space will take place every Wednesday from 6-7pm at Oxford Quaker Meeting House, 43 St Giles OX1 3LW.

This is a space to listen deeply to each other and to share feelings, thoughts and actions as we engage with the climate and ecological crises.

We hope that this is also a space for new connections. You might be involved through a movement, campaign or community group. You might be a climate or sustainability professional. Or you might be focused on trying to live a greener life. Whatever your interest or community, you are welcome.

Our practice so far has been to speak in turn around the circle, usually at least twice each, using a talking stone.

Doors open 17.45. Please arrive in good time to start at 18.00.
Any inquiries to Laurie Michaelis, laurie@livingwitness.org.uk
