A chance to connect with new and longstanding rebels from across XR Oxford AND to help us recruit some new supporters! As part of XR’s summer uprising, we will be meeting in Bury Knowle Park in Headington from 12-4PM for an afternoon of socialising and outreach combined.
We’ll have banners and flags, the samba band (we hope), a pink gazebo (possibly!), and outreach materials to help get great conversations going with the public. We’ll also be collecting messages to deliver to the new prime minister about the action people want them to take on the Climate Emergency.
Bring a picnic and something to sit on, your children, families or friends, and your enthusiasm for building our movement ahead of the September rebellion. Please note, this event replaces the previously announced bike ride on the same day – apologies for any confusion!
The park has toilet facilities (including a disabled toilet), easy access to local shops and cafes, and a bus stop just outside the gate.
